I'm very new to blogging, so I'll apologize right off the bat for how atrocious it looks.
I never wanted a Kinect until I saw Dragon Ball Z For Kinect. When I saw the game on Amazon, I purchased it right away, even without having a Kinect! I purchased my Kinect the same day, and started up the game when came in the mail.
Anyway, let's talk about the game then. For starters, it's fun to play a Dragon Ball game by actually punching, kicking, and doing the gestures for attacks. What's not fun is when the game never recognizes what you're doing. Usually it won't realize that you're trying to charge you're attack until your opponent has gotten back up and is sending Ki blasts at you, or charging at you about to f*ck your sh*t up with a barrage of melee attacks.
The next thing I would like to talk about is how terrible the story was. They cut 80% of the story, you have to be a pretty big Dragon Ball fan to know what happened between battles. Oh, and did I mention each saga has 5 battles? Meaning with the 4 sagas present, the "story" mode is 20 battles, and they are all very repetitive.
But the game uses QR Codes to add new characters to the game. I have no idea where to get them, but they are there. If you pre-ordered the game you get a hat with Goku hair, which has 5 QR Codes on the back. Below is a what the hat looks like, it reminds me of the old Burger King hats.
And the TL;DR version:
Good:

Good:
- It's a Dragon Ball game - and one where you actually punch, kick, and gesture to attack!
- Fun controls - when they work
- Pretty good graphics
- Controls rarely work correctly
- Short story mode
- No multiplayer
- Barely any re-playability
- Really repetitive
Overall, a 4/10, if you're interested in getting the game, I would wait for a price drop. Or just rent it, seeing as how you can get through everything in a couple hours.
