Pixar went all-out for this prequel to the massively successful Monsters Inc., a whole bunch of posters were released, teaser trailers, they even made a college website! And with me being a large fan of the first movie, I was pretty excited to see all of these things popping up. I had a hunch the movie was going to be below average, but I was still super excited to see it.
Then it popped into theaters, and by golly this film is amazing! They managed to display an entire school year in just over 100 minutes, all without feeling rushed! The characters from the sororities and fraternities were hilarious and made the movie fun.
The progression of Sully's character felt a bit weird, almost forced, but that is a minor detail when you look at the rest of the movie. If you liked the first Monsters Inc., you will probably like this one aswell!
