Deliver Us from Evil (2014) [Movie Review]

Last night I saw Deliver Us from Evil and it did not take long for me start questioning a few things. Mainly it's time line. This is yet another horror film that prides itself in being based on a true story, so when the film set up it's timeline, I was very interested in the real story. To give a little back story here, the film primarily takes place in the year 2013. Now, just so we're all on the same page, this film was released in 2014. And in the credits, there was mention that the two investigators still work together. This detail was the most annoying part of the film.

Just so everyone knows, this film is actually inspired by multiple cases that took place over the course of 1990s. So, if you're reading this prior to viewing the film, just keep that mind.

There is not much that can be said about Deliver Us from Evil other than it's terrible timeline. It's a pretty standard horror film, but is thrilling enough to keep you tense and dramatic enough to keep you caring for the characters.

Rating: 6/10
