Godzilla (2014) [Movie Review]

Oh. My. God. This is the movie I have been waiting for. This is the Godzilla movie. I will concede that it was not long ago that I watched the first film in this franchise, but I have seen bits and pieces of most of the other films. I bring this up to make it known that I am a Godzilla fan, despite my latest review being for the first movie.

Now, if you have seen any of the other Godzilla films, this will be a treat for you. The Godzilla design is such a perfect replica of the original, while at the same time being much more intimidating than the original. The film also throws troves of references to the many other Godzilla films. Oh, and that scream put a smile on my face every time.

The marketing for this film was great in hiding a key element of the film. I will hold off on talking about specifics, but it truly made the film amazing.

As of now, I cannot think of anything negative to say about Godzilla. Saying it is better than the 1998 Godzilla would be one of the biggest understatements I have ever made. And I will dare to say that this is the best Godzilla made to date. See this film, I believe you will thank me.

Rating: 10/10 (Since I'm giving this a perfect rating, I will be rewatching the film and verifying my thoughts in a few days. I will post the update in the comments.)
