"White House Down was just a copy of Olympus Has Fallen" - If you think this, please, please tell me how came to that conclusion. It takes more than 3 months to make a big-budget movie... I get fairly annoyed when people feel the need to say things like that. Yes, this kind of thing happens in Hollywood, but neither of the films 'copy' each other.
I'll start out by saying that I was actually more excited for this version of the White House's destruction. Tatum and Foxx just seemed like a much better duo than Butler and Freeman. All amazing actors, but these two seemed liked a better team. Additionally, the trailers made the movie seem like a drama than an all-out action film, which really interested me.
Then we flash-forward to the movies' release date. And... well, it's not a bad movie. But still, a few things could have been improved in it. Actually, a lot could have been improved. The movie felt very formulaic to watch, with every action being easily predictable. Our two stars, Tatum and Foxx, have great chemistry together, though. Which made the movie pretty enjoyable.
Overall, White House Down was by no means a good movie, but it is a great fun watching the White House get blown up. Again. The movie has some good jokes, and pretty awesome action sequences, but this one could easily be passed by without a second glance.
