Devil's Due (2014) [Movie Review]

The two genres of movies I hate the most are horror and found-footage, and they are usually found together. They usually play out cheesy and terrible. And guess what! This movie played out cheesy and terrible.

While watching, I tried looking for things that I would like about the movie. Seeing as how I was completely uninterested in the movie, I hoped that if I actually looked for good things, I could write a positive review. I really don't like writing negative reviews. But unfortunately, Devil's Due is a poorly written, poorly filmed, and to top it off, poorly acted film.

Sitting at around an hour and a half; this movie, which is classified only as horror, takes about an hour before the horror aspects decide to kick in. Sure, there are a few brief 'scary' scenes before the final act, but they are ultimately insignificant.

Nothing in this horror movie really makes your heart beat. Nothing in this movie makes you feel connected to the main characters. Nothing in this movie gave me the urge to give it a positive review.
