The Boondock Saints (1999) [Movie Review]

Movies like The Boondock Saints are always interesting, especially when you look at with 'reviewer eyes'. This movie isn't good. It's far from good. But it is entertaining as can be!

If you're having troubles following what mean, it boils down to this movie being nothing more than a 'guilty pleasure' movie. It features gratuitous violence, which is very appealing to many moviegoers, and an extremely interesting script. It's not long into the movie that the movie shows what it really is, which is nothing but a series of violent events loosely connected to one central story. But the staggered degrees of acting is what really pulls the movie down. You get some great acting from the leads, as you would expect, but when the supporting and/or minor actors open their mouths, it's almost hard to take.

All-in-all, while the movie may be horrid on many levels, it's still a pretty fun movie to watch.
