RoboCop 3 (1993) [Movie Review]

In light of the RoboCop remake theaters tomorrow, I am having a marathon of the original trilogy. I am going to write these reviews very quickly, on account of me having to be at work very shortly after my marathon. I will apologize ahead of time for my rushed thoughts, my words in this review can in no way represent exactly what this movie, and series, has to offer. My review for the 2014 version of RoboCop will be much less rushed.

This installment finds RoboCop taking on the entire OCP system. He joins the resistance and goes through the motions.

This movie is definitely the worst in the series; it's still an okay movie, but it definitely doesn't feel very RoboCop-esque. The lead actor didn't make a return, and the movie really adds nothing to the character. What really grinds my gears about this installment is the continuity. It really shouldn't be hard for this series, either! But in the beginning of the movie, RoboCop's Prime Directives, which were fried in the second installment, hinder his ability to save the crew right away. I don't know how they managed to forget about that rather important scene from the second movie.

Other than that, everything about this movie is really just going through the motions. Rather unfortunate for a series this great.

Rating: 6/10
