That Awkward Moment (2014) [Movie Review]

That Awkward Moment is all about that awkward situation in every relationship in which you have to decide where the relationship is going. As with most movies, we have three main characters. They follow a pretty standard formula, you have the standard married guy with marriage problems, single guy who always gets the girl, and single guy who doesn't always get the girl. These three friends decide to make a pact to stay single, to help ease the divorce of Mikey. Only problem is, now the two single guys are starting to fall in love!
From the get-go, it definitely sounds pretty mediocre.

Ironically; one of the themes of this movie is not to judge a book by it's cover. I find that both hilarious and ironic because just watching this trailer will tell you exactly how the movie plays out. Which is, by all accounts, mediocre.

Most of the movie is easily predictable, the comedic bits are at times off or simply unfunny, but when it does strike a funny cord, it hits hard and is almost side-splitting humor. However the moments that are truly hilarious don't make up for the moments that are barely humorous at all. Everything about this movie is mediocre, but then again, was anyone expecting anything else?

Rating: 6/10
