Antichrist (2009) [Movie Review]

On a scale of 1-10 for my readiness level of Antichrist, with 10 being extremely prepared and 1 being not prepared at all, I was definitely a 0. And even that might be a bit too high.

I really have no idea what to say right now. Antichrist is a movie that is so different than any other movie I've ever seen. I know Lars von Trier always makes movies that are a bit off-kilter, but damn, this movie is definitely the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. There are images in this film that I am not sure whether they will ever dissolve from my brain.

I do not enjoy this movie, but I respect it. I don't know if I could ever recommend this movie to someone who is not seriously interested in film. It is an art house film, and a very well done one, my rating is based primarily on the quality of the film.

Rating: 8/10
