Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) [Movie Review]

I've been pondering for quite a few hours about how exactly I can write about The Winter Solder. I always want to be semi-professional with these, but I don't think I can even attempt that with this movie. I am huge fan of anything, and everything, Marvel related, and this movie gave me countless fan-gasms.

To start with, this is a superb sequel to one of my favorites from Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and just so happens to be based on one of my favorite Marvel characters. I know most of the stories that have happened in Marvel's past, but I would never have guessed the main plot of this movie to happen. It was hinted at several times throughout Phase One, Phase Two, and even Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but it still never hit me.

Sorry, this is a little side-tracked, but I have to say that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is amazing. It is helping expand the MCU so much, I think it gets way more flak than it deserves. These next few episodes are going to be amazing.

Okay, now back Cap's movie. Still having a hard time figuring out how to not be biased. I don't think it's possible. I am going to give my usual acclaim to the actors, they make these characters all seem so real. Which, by the way, is not an easy feat for many of these characters.

In all honesty, every single person who worked on this movie deserves recognition. From the visual to the audio department, everyone seemed to give it their all for this one, and it definitely made for a fun show.

The only nit-pick I can find for this movie is something that I knew full-well would happen. Poor aim. Or spot on aim. It all depended on whether Cap had his shield or not. But, it's a comic book movie, and an action movie. It was inevitable.

Rating: 9/10
