Transcendence (2014) [Movie Review]

A movie starring Johnny Depp and featuring the cinematographer of The Dark Knight series and Inception should be an amazing movie. But problems arise when the writer of the movie has no previous experience.

Transcendence was a bit of a disappointment to me simply because every aspect of it was nearly perfect, it just featured a lackluster script. Now, I can't say that the script was completely garbage, it was pretty interesting. But nothing about the script is really above average. The premise is cool, but the dialogue could have been improved a lot.

But everything else about this movie was fantastic. It looked beautiful, had great performances, it just fails to impress with it's writing. It was a great idea, just had a poor follow through.
