That is the the official description of this movie. Groundbreaking CG animation. The definition of groundbreaking is "new and innovative." I don't know how you could consider the animation in this movie groundbreaking in any way. It looks just like the animations from a video game released 5 years ago!
And the sub-par feeling doesn't stop there! On top of the horrendous animation, there is a plot that does nothing more than disappoint the adult viewer. I only bring up adult because this movie is definitely geared towards younger children, and children will love almost any movie they see. But whereas with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (in which this movie does take place) is enjoyable to all audiences, this movie is only enjoyable to children. And that might even be a stretch.
The only redeeming quality I can find in this movie is that, since it is stated it takes place between The Avengers and it's sequel, The Hulk will have the ability to speak halfway intelligent sentences in the coming movies. And that makes my inner (and outer, I guess) fan-boy extremely giddy.
But if at all possible, avoid this movie.
