Muppets Most Wanted (2014) [Movie Review]

Upon sitting down in the theater to watch the newest installment of The Muppets, I realized that I barely remember anything about the series. I always try to re-watch a series before a new movie comes out, but this one slipped me by. I still don't remember any of The Muppets movies that I saw as a child, and only vaguely remember the most recent adaptation, but that didn't even matter. It took seconds for me to get right back into the Muppet groove.

Taking place instantly after the events of the 2011 Muppets movie, the crew quickly realizes that they are making a sequel and a musical number ensues. That's one thing you have to love about these guys, so many wonderful original songs, as well as covers and parodies, appear in every movie. They are so frequent, yet they never tire. Perfectly spaced and wonderfully performed, these songs might even have you singing along!

The other major success with this film is it's never-ending supply of cameos. The cameos alone would be enough to sell a ticket for me.

Muppets Most Wanted has the same charm that you have grown to love with The Muppets, so if you have liked anything Muppets-related in the past, you should like this movie.

Rating: 7/10
