The African Queen (1951) [Movie Review]

The African Queen stars Humphrey Bogart as Charlie Allnut, the alcoholic with a boat. Along with Bogart, we get a wonderful role from Katharine Hepburn as Rose Sayer, the uptight gal. When war breaks out, and the village Rose is living in is burned to ground by the Germans, Rose goes with Charlie down river. It doesn't take long for them to stop hating each other, and start loving each other.

I found this movie to be kind of boring. The acting was good, it was a decent idea, and the ending was great. But I really expected this movie to be amazing. I just couldn't get into it, don't know why. It's on the list of 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, though, so I guess every cinema fan should watch this film.

Rating: 6/10
