A former Weather Underground (anti-war activist) must go on the run after another member of the group is captured, and his true identity becomes known. Saying much more will ruin the fun of the fun of the movie.
See, it's these kind of films I love to watch, but hate to review. The film had so little exposure that I never even saw a trailer, therefore I knew very little about the film prior to viewing. Therefore every plot twist is actually a twist, not saying that doesn't happen with bigger movies too, but they almost always give something away. And for obvious reasons, I don't like reviewing them because I want to avoid giving away any of the twists that make the film enjoyable. So I'll keep the review short.
The cast list alone is good enough for me to want to see this movie. Robert Redford, Shia LeBeouf, Susan Sarandon, Nick Nolte, Terrance Howard, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, and Anna Kendrick, to name a few. Now I am well aware of the hate for Shia LeBouf, but he has proved himself to be a great actor time and time again in my eyes. Great acting from most of the cast, a few weak links are present, but overall the cast was great. The writing was above average, but far from amazing. Without big names at the helm, this film would have more than likely flopped. It was fun movie. It had it's flaws, but it wasn't terrible. I wouldn't not recommend this film.
Rating: 7/10
