Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) [Movie Review]

The man with the hat is back in his greatest adventure yet! Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade brings back the greatness of Spielberg's directing, Lucas' writing, and Harrison Ford's acting, but wait, there's more! Sean Connery takes up the role of Dr. Henry Jones Sr., Indiana's dad.

Now, saying The Last Crusade is the best Indiana Jones film is an understatement. This movie has everything. We get some background information on Indy's childhood, and why he always his hat and whip. We get a superb story, filled with drama, comedy, action, and suspense. And possibly the best part, we meet Indy's dad - Sean Connery!

So, this one is all about finding the Holy Grail, and if that wasn't hard enough, they have to do it before the Nazi's get ahold of it! So; first Indy has to rescue his dad from the Nazi's, then they follow Henry's map to the location of the Grail. Indy's faith is tested, along with his wits, as he goes through the obstacles to get to the Grail.

The movie has a wonderful ending, and was a great end to the trilogy. But, they decided to keep going anyway. An awesome, yet terrible decision. On one hand, we get more Indy, on the other, the new one wasn't as good, but there is a fifth in the works, so maybe that one will win as best Indy film? But as it stands right now, this is by far the greatest Indiana Jones film.

Rating: 9/10

Discussion topic: When arriving in the room with the Holy Grail, there is a counter full of other goblets, but only one is the Holy Grail. Choosing correctly would grant eternal life, choosing incorrectly would take your life. Would you chance drinking from any of the goblets?
