Inglourious Basterds (2009) [Movie Review]

Inglourious Basterds is, as of 2013, Quentin Tarantino's best film. It opens to reveal a nice old dairy farmer, attempting to help some Jews, when the famous German soldier, Col. Hans Landa shows up searching for anyone helping Jews. All of the Jews living with the farmer are executed, except one. And not killing this one Jew is actually what leads to the take-down of the entire Third Reich!

The film is mostly talking, with a little bit of action here and there. The thing with the talking, is that it's mostly in other languages, which is completely fine, but if you look away, you miss a lot. That being said, the people who actually pay attention when they watch films are rewarded greatly in this masterpiece. The dialogue is amazing, the acting is beyond amazing. If it weren't for the subtitles, you would think you were actually next to the Basterds!

Quentin Tarantino knows how to make movies, and this film is definitely a great example of that.

Rating: 10/10

Discussion topic: Would you join the Basterds? If so, what do you think the hardest challenge would be? The killing, the scalping of dead people, or the carving of Swastika's into living people (Or something else?)? If not, why not?
