For those of you who somehow don't know what Zero Dark Thirty is; it is about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Maya, played by Jessica Chastain, is put on the case and with the help of Dan, played by Jason Clarke, they track down Osama and... well, you know what happens.
The acting in this movie is great. Dan's torture techniques help aid in finding many bad, bad people. So why are so many people mad about the use of torture in this film? They torture us, why can't we torture them? Anyway, moving on; Maya is a little too weak to be searching for Osama. Which brings us to the end of the movie, which was definitely it's downfall. After confirming it was Osama Bin Laden, Maya heads to a C-130 and as the doors close, she starts crying, then credits roll. She kills the biggest terrorist in the world and she starts crying! Even if they were tears of joy, which they didn't appear to be, that seems weird to me. Personally, I would have a huge grin on my face. Oh well, an otherwise amazing movie.
Rating: 9/10
Discussion topic: Most experts were saying that there was a 60% chance Bin Laden was living in the house. If you were the one that had to make the call whether or not to raid the place, what would your decision be? Why?
