Parker (2013) [Movie Review]

Jason Statham is back in one of his usual roles, bad-ass in a suit with a gun. He nails this role as Parker; the nice thief who never steals from people who can't afford it, and doesn't hurt people who don't deserve it. After hearing that, and him successfully following through with it, you start liking the guy. But after a heist goes bad, and someone gets hurt because they deviated from the plan, Parker get's pissed. And when Parker's pissed, the rest of the crew is pissed at Parker; so they shoot him, and leave him to die. Obviously, him being the main character and all, he doesn't die. A nice elderly couple finds him and brings him to a hospital. He breaks out of the hospital and goes on a rampage to take down the men who let him to die.

The plot of Parker is basically your average action film. The acting was great from everyone, they actually felt like people, not actors playing people. Though the film went very slow, it was really entertaining. The opening was amazing, and ending was superb.

Rating: 7/10

Discussion topic: In the film, Parker states that everyone steals in some degree, it's just a matter of admitting it. Do you agree with this statement?
