What is Movie 43? That is a very good question. And I don't really know if the producers even know what the movie is about. It's basically just a bunch of short's all going around the same frame story. Which, after reading some of the IMDb boards, it appears that there are different movies here in American theaters than there are in other parts of the world. I don't know which areas got which movie, but the two are: one being Dennis Quad trying to sell his highly inappropriate and seemingly terrible movie (which is the one I saw), and the second being a group of kids searching the internet for the highly inappropriate and rare Movie 43, which is said to destroy civilization. Both of them are weird concepts.
I knew very little going into the theater, except that it had a kick-ass cast including Emma Stone and Hugh Jackman. I was hoping that the stories would somehow be connected, like a comedic Cloud Atlas, but alas that did not happen. Just a bunch of skits put together; they were all humorous, but there was nothing else. Almost all of the jokes were the same kind of jokes you get in the Scary Movie's and that genre, but I'd say the film is worth seeing. I only wish some of the shorts actually had closure, most of them just ended without actually ending.
