Nothing is more American than Captain America. This is the real man who fights for truth, justice, and the American way - not some stupid alien from Krypton!
Most of the people reading this already know about Captain America, and most readers have also probably seen the movie. But in case you know nothing about Captain America, he originated as a tiny man who was repeatedly denied permission to fight for his country. After several falsified applications, he is given the opportunity to partake in a "Super Soldier" program, he would be the first of many. Unfortunately, after he is given his super steroids, the creator of the project is murdered, and so Mr. Steve Rogers is the only super soldier America receives.
Captain America is one of my favorite super heroes, and my second favorite comic book character; the first being Mr. Wade Wilson, better known as Deadpool (What you saw at the end of Wolverine was not Deadpool, but the Wade near the beginning was spot-on). So, that being said, my rating may be a bit biased. When I first heard about this movie I was ecstatic, at the time I wasn't nearly as into cinema as I am now, and I didn't go to the movies very often. I saw this movie 3 times in theaters. It was simply amazing.
Being loyal to it's source material made for a fairly predictable film, but I didn't mind. It played out in a way that even a person who hates super hero movies might truly enjoy this film. The acting is phenomenal, Chris Evans was a perfect fit for Rogers and all other supporting actors/actresses were just as amazing. And it was a gift that just kept on giving, for after the credits was a huge Avengers tease. Everything about this movie seemed amazing to me, and I would recommend this movie everyone. Especially American's, watch this movie as your patriotic duty!
Rating: 9/10
