Leave it to the Asian's to make a film this... weird. Is that racist? It's probably racist...
I can't say too much about the plot of this, seeing as how just about everything I say will indefinitely spoil a huge part of the film, so I'll leave it at this: A man is imprisoned for 15 years, and has no idea why. When released, he goes looking for answers.
Usually my short summaries make the movie sound terrible, but this one doesn't sound too bad. Well, in my opinion.
Oldboy is by far the greatest Korean film I've ever seen. I mean, I haven't seen very many in the first place, but this is definitely the best. A rather weird film, but it all works out. The acting is superb, it is very well-written, and has just a beautiful ending. I would highly recommend this film to anyone.
