A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) [Movie Review]

Yippee Ki-Yay, Mother Fucker; John McClane is back! This time he's not saving a building, or an airport, or anything like that; he's going to save his son Jack (Jai Courtney). Well, shortly after confronting his son, he finds out that his son is actually in the C.I.A. and John himself messed up the operation. Then the two are attacked, and they finish the mission together - father and son!

Now, this is by far the worst Die Hard movie made to date, it's also the shortest. But saying it's the worst doesn't really mean it's bad. This movie is your typical action film, guns and explosions everywhere, and not much for a plot. It was disappointing not having a mention of John's wife, or any sliver of information about the status of Matt and Lucy's relationship. However, it was nice to again see Bruce Willis go on rampage mode to save his son, even though his son at first hates him. It's almost the exact same progression that happen in Live Free or Die Hard, where they go from instantly hating John to instantly loving John. Overall, this was a mediocre film at best, nothing Die Hard-related at all, except for character names.

Rating: 6/10
