Edge of Darkness stars Mel Gibson as the bad-ass cop Thomas Craven. The film starts with Thomas' daughter, Emma (Bojana Novakovic), being killed, and the emotional trauma that comes with it. This isn't exactly the standard revenge flick, but it's very close. The only difference is that this one also features a conspiracy theory about Emma's workplace. The movie starts slow, slightly picks up in the middle, and ends very unrealistically. Mel Gibson is a great actor, but was not fit for this role, it could have been a much better film with a lead actor better suited for the film.
