Dwayne Johnson stars as John Matthews, the owner of a construction business. When his son is wrongfully imprisoned, he must help arrest a drug dealer for his son to be set free.
Now, I know that plot just makes it sound like a killer film, but it's actually about as mediocre as they come. It's really annoying when a film overuses the "Based on true events" thing. It's everywhere with this film; the promotional posters, trailers, at the beginning of the film, at the start of the end credits, and at the end of the end credits. I'm not saying I don't like films based on true stories, but I hate when it's as overused as it is in films like this. That aside, it's really just your typical action flick. A little drama thrown in for some of the side characters, but it's basically your average action movie. I would give this film a pass. If you're into "The Rock" you might like it, but waiting to just rent it would be the best course of action.
