Escape From Planet Earth puts the the aliens as the main protagonist and the humans as the antagonists. Scorch Supernova (voiced by Brendan Fraser) is sent to "The Dark Planet" to respond to an SOS call. After being captured by the natives, Gary Supernova (Voiced by Rob Corddry, Scorch's nerdy brother, must come to the rescue.
This was a pretty boring film. I know it was a "kids movie" but I was still severely underwhelmed with the horrible character development, cheesy jokes, and boring plot. I'm sure children will like this movie, because it has a really simply plot with a "happy" ending. But I, and I would assume most people reading this, am not a child, and this film is just, well, boring. It had some humorous moments, but really not worth watching. I'd say avoiding this movie is a good idea.
