Moon (2009) [Movie Review]

Moon follows the life of Sam Bell, played by Sam Rockwell. Sam has a three year contract to be stationed on the moon sending back canisters of an energy supply. When something goes wrong, Sam discovers some horrible news, and tries to find a solution.

I'm going to try to keep this as spoiler-free as I can, because this film was amazing and I want you to experience the full effect, if you ever watch it. Anyway, this is one of the better films I've seen in a long time. The plot was amazing, and many of the twists are truly twists, and not things you can predict a mile away. The only other thing I'm going to mention is Sam Rockwell's acting. It was perfect! It takes true skill to pull off what he pulled in this film. Moon is an outstanding film, I'd say it's a must-see for any sci-fi fan.

Rating: 9/10

Discussion topic: Would you ever take a job where you had to be alone, with no contact to anyone else, for years on end? What would be the maximum amount of time you would allow yourself to be under those conditions?
